Jo Mixon (#9)

I started painting many years ago as a way of expression and healing. A place to go to lose myself in the beauty of the creation. I love colors, vivid bold colors so I incorporate them into images that may not normally be bold or colorful.  I am drawn the culture of New Mexico; the mountains, the adobe, the wildlife and the people. “Making art makes me happy, I paint with acrylic and oils on a variety of surfaces. Painting on canvas, wood, furniture, walls, buildings, people, and yard art are all in my repertoire.” At one time I owned a concrete yard and offered exterior design matching fountains and yard art to your home. I like the challenge of seeing a vision come to fruition.  Jo Mixon Abstract Impressionist Artist
